Shoreline Cleanup Day with the Twin Shores Wedding Association

Join the Twin Shores Wedding Association in giving back to our local community with a Shoreline Cleanup Day in Canal Park. This event is an excellent opportunity for us to come together, make a positive impact on our environment, and enjoy some time connecting with fellow members.

Event Schedule:

- 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Meet in the back parking lot of The Garden. We will distribute vests and supplies, and organize into groups for the cleanup.

- 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM: Cleanup of Canal Park. Each group will be assigned specific areas to ensure comprehensive coverage of the area.

- 10:15 AM - 11:00 AM: Gather at Naturalight Coffee Bar to enjoy some coffee (self-purchased) and engage in conversation with fellow participants.

What to Bring:

- Comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities

- Gloves (if you prefer to use your own)

- A positive attitude and readiness to make a difference

An invaluable asset for anyone working in the events industry. Charla will also discuss options for officially getting certified for CPR, AED & Heimlich.

About Our Speaker:

Charla is in her first year as the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine and Performance after serving as an Athletic Trainer at UMD for the previous 9 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, before earning her Masters' of Science in Athletic Training from The College of St. Scholastica.  Upon her arrival at UMD, Charla primarily worked with Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball and Track and Field. Currently, she will be providing healthcare directly to Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field and Women's basketball. Charla is trained in Graston Technique M2, Master Dry Needling, Muscle Energy Techniques and is a Certified Instructor Trainer through the American Red Cross.
